  • Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup (225 ml) dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup (225 ml) margarine
  • 1 cup (225 ml) chocolate chips
  • Line cookie sheet with foil and grease well.
  • Cover foil with layer of saltine crackers.
  • Mix sugar and margarine and boil 2 minutes.
  • Carefully pour over crackers and bake 350 for 8 minutes.
  • Cool a bit then sprinkle chocolate chips over top to melt, spread.
  • Break when cool and store in air tight container.
There is no toffee involved. This candy tastes like Heath Bars.
