Sauce for beef fondue


Serves/Makes:1 1/4 cups

  • 1 cup (225 ml) chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) salad oil
  • 1 tsp (5 ml). brown sugar
  • 2 tsp (10 ml). vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml). Tabasco
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml). dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml). salt
  • Combine all ingredients in small saucepan.
  • Heat to boiling.
  • Simmer 5 minutes.
  • Serve warm or cool.
Good with beef fondue.
