Serves/Makes:4 or more

Ingredients
  • 425 ml. apricot nectar/juice
  • 1-1/2 kg. whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
  • or
  • 1-1/2 kg. chicken pieces (whole thighs are best)
  • 35 gram packet dried French Onion Soup
  • seasoned flour for coating chicken
  • carrots, peeled and cut up
  • potatoes, peeled and cut up
Preparation
  • Roll chicken pieces in flour until well coated and place into crock-pot.
  • Cut up carrots and potatoes and add to chicken.
  • Heat together apricot nectar/juice and dried soup until thickened.
  • Pour over chicken pieces.
  • Turn on crock-pot to high and bring casserole to the boil.
  • Turn crock-pot setting down to low and cook for 3 to 4 hours.
