- 1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/3 cups (325 ml) milk
- 3 cups (700 ml) flour
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
- 4 tsp (20 ml) baking powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 cup (225 ml) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) flour
- 1 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon
- Cream sugar and butter.
- Beat in egg and milk.
- Add flour, salt, baking powder and vanilla and mix well.
- Pour into greased 9 inch x 13 inch cake pan.
- Pour the melted butter over the top of the dough in pan.
- Combine remaining topping ingredients by stirring with a fork.
- Sprinkle over melted butter, covering top.
- Bake at 375 degrees (200 C.) for 25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Best served warm.
