Confectioner's Icing - Sugar Cookie Decoration Frosting

Basic and simple Sugar Cookie Decoration Icing.


Serves/Makes:about 1/2 cup

  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) cream of tartar, (or substitute salt)
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). confectioner's (powdered) sugar
  • Beat the egg white cream of tartar (or salt) until foamy.
  • Gradually beat in confectioner's sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Keep frosting covered with damp towel until ready to use.
