Serves/Makes:2 cups approx.

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) flour
  • 1 cup (225 ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Crisco
  • 1 cup (225 ml) sugar
  • 2 tsp (10 ml). vanilla
Preparation
  • Blend flour and milk.
  • Cook together until thick.
  • Let stand to cool.
  • Cream butter and Crisco, then add sugar and vanilla.
  • Add flour mixture.
  • Beat until icing is white.
