Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) sugar
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1/8 tsp (1 ml) pepper
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) buttermilk
  • 1-1/2 tbsp (20 ml) white vinegar
  • 2-1/2 tbsp (35 ml) lemon juice
  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped fine
  • 1 medium carrot, chopped fine
Preparation
  • Mix together the first 8 ingredients.
  • Add to chopped cabbage and carrots.
  • Refrigerate and chill for 2 hours.
Comments
You can use fat-free mayonnaise and skim milk to make a low-fat cole slaw.
