  • Dry mix:
  • 3 cups (700 ml) flour
  • 1 cup (225 ml) Bisquick
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml). garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml). black pepper
  • 1 tsp (5 ml). salt
  • Wet mix:
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups (475 ml) buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Bisquick
  • 1 cup (225 ml) water, iced
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml). oregano
  • Dip slices in the batters, going from dry to wet and back to dry.
  • Fry at 350 degrees (175 C.) in vegetable oil until golden brown (20 - 25 seconds).
  • Can be served with ranch dressing for dip.
